Anandvan Water Park

Project overview

Anandvan Water Park is a family recreation destination on about 2.5 acres at Sarola Baddi, Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, designed to take roughly 400–500 visitors at a time. It was planned as more than a pool with rides: water attractions, adventure activities and dedicated space for children sit side by side, so families with different ages can spend a whole day there.

PBJ Infra planned, developed and completed the park over three years, and it has been operating since 2023. It is PBJ’s clearest completed example of waterpark construction — hospitality-scale recreation work well beyond a residential pool.

What’s in the park

• Wave pool, with a soft landing area designed for safe, comfortable use

• Water slides and slide towers integrated with the attraction zones
• A dedicated kids’ play area with its own aqua-play structure

Client requirement

A family destination with something for every age: water attractions, adventure activities and a safe area for young children, able to handle a busy day’s crowd comfortably.

The challenge

Fitting that mix onto 2.5 acres is the hard part. A wave pool, a swimming pool, slide towers, a kids’ zone, a ropeway and a cycling area all need their own space, foundations and safe clearances, yet visitors have to move between them easily at peak capacity. Behind the attractions sit the waterproofing, drainage, filtration and circulation that have to run every day of the season.

PBJ’s approach

PBJ planned the site as one visitor experience rather than a set of separate attractions — zoning water, adventure and children’s areas so they work side by side, and sizing circulation for 400–500 people at a time. The pools, slide foundations and water systems were planned together, with slide run-outs and landing areas designed for safety from the start. The same structural and filtration discipline PBJ applies to its swimming pool work was scaled for public use.

Construction / execution

The work ran over three years in PBJ’s four stages:

• Site — preparing the 2.5-acre site and planning the recreational zones.
• Structure — the wave pool, swimming pool and activity-pool shells, and foundations for the slide towers and play structures.
• Systems — waterproofing, filtration, circulation and hydraulic connections.
• Signature — finishes, installing the slides, play and adventure equipment, and the finishing works that turn construction into a working visitor destination.

Final result

A completed water park, operating since 2023, that brings water attractions, adventure activities, children’s play and family recreation together on one 2.5-acre site.
